Abdy Javadzadeh

Abdy Javadzadeh, a native of Iran, moved to the US at the age of 13. After attending High School in Maryland he moved to Miami for college where he attained an Engineering degree at Florida International University (FIU) and eventually a Ph.D in Sociology with an interest in Social Politics and Social Movements. ·He is currently a professor at FIU and has been for the past 12 years.· He has a standing Fellowship at FIU's honors college where he teaches courses on Political Religion. He has been involved in politics locally and globally for the past 30 years.· Professor Javadzadeh has lived in Miami for 32 years where he has worked with various organizations taking an interest in immigration rights, race relations, and political movements.
